First Holy Communions

John 6:32, 51-52: "Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say to you; Moses gave you not bread from heaven, but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven...I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give, is My Flesh, for the life of the world."

This one I held on to for so long...First Holy Communion day is one of the most special days in a Catholic's life. It is the day Catholics receive our Lord in His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity for the first time. It is also a day that can be very overwhelming with the hustle and bustle with family and friends. Formal portraits are almost impossible to even find time to take and usually there is only time for one or two photos before you are swept away to a celebration. Who doesn't want to remember this day for the rest of their life, right? I decided to take some of this little angel the day before the big day and fill them in with "day of" later.

This little sweet and pious little girl is also my Goddaughter. I can't be more proud of all her hard work and just love her so much. Oh, and did I fail to mention she is a little country girl? Thus, we decided to do her session in the country during a golden hour of the day. It was perfect for her session!
